Waterdown Montessori School

Waterdown Montessori School, established in 1979, employs the teaching methods developed by Dr. Maria Montessori and is a parent governed not-for-profit school. Our mission is to provide an environment that allows each child to progress at his or her own pace, and to develop the foundation of skills necessary for a lifetime of independent learning.

Professional Montessori-trained staff and a community of parents who promote child-centered education addressing intellectual, physical, social and creative needs support the children. The Montessori principles upon which the school was founded are to be preserved and kept relevant by a Board of Directors who develop and maintain school policy. Our mission is to provide the very best learning environment possible for the children.

Waterdown Montessori School is an accredited member of the Canadian Council of Montessori Administrators, and each of our staff holds certification recognized by the Montessori Accreditation Committee of Teacher Education.
